I am recently having trouble with the NWN nights toolset. It keeps giving me 'Access Violation' crap. I can't do anything after that I always have to use the Task Manager to fix it. If anybody could help let me know? If you want me to post a screen of it, just say so. Thanks.

Welcome to the toolset. NWN rules, the capability of the toolset rules, the coding of the toolset... doesn't.

Basically what causes that is the way something access a windows API, but it's often in the API itself. There's nothing that I know of that can really fix it, not the errors that I have seen.

Those errors are the bane of any mod builder's existence. I dunno a way to fix 'em, either. You just have to learn to save often and get on with it, I'm afraid >.<

Good suggestion Adam, but thats one of the problems. I make a module to test various things, and I save it. Next time I try to open it comes up with this:

I'm not sure if just re-installing NWN would work or not, but I want that to be my last option.

Wow. Even my toolset, which is &^%£ed beyond recognition, let's me open modules =p I really doubt reinstalling NWN will help at all, but it may be the only option you have... Still not likely to work, though.

Have you tried running a module with no custom haks, tlks etc? It could be that it's CEP and the toolset not wanting to play nice.

That's a graphics driver. Try updating or reverting your graphics drivers, or use omega drivers and see if the problem goes away.

Have you tried Omega Drivers? They aren't perfect either, but they are pretty good and have some nice features. You can always revert later if they cause issues.

Yeah thats what I have actually is NVIDIA.
Well, I'm not sure if it was a fluke but I downloaded CEP 2.1 and I got into the Toolset. :? Still not to sure why that is, but I will test the toolset every so often and see what happens. Hopefully, it stays this way.
