Everyone but Calan and the server.

Yes, it appears that the Mac version has been released. I will be working as fast as I can to get the module and server updated to both 1.69 and CEP 2.1. As always I hope that there aren't any technical issues with the updates, but I think everyone knows better than that. With any luck it will be only a couple days.
As an aside, this might delay some Quad-Wiz events or other DM plot events as this is a seriously major update to the module. I'll keep people posted in the proper sections of the forums.

Maybe we should wait until after the ball at least to update to 1.69?
Just a though. Then you have a full week to work out all the updating kinks between the ball and the third challenge. Instead of just a day and a half between now and the ball.

I would rather update now actually, and have the time next week to work on the third challenge without having to fight 1.69 and 2.1 at the same time.

Status update:
NWN 1.69 and CEP 2.1 have been successfully installed and both are needed in order to log into the server.

Just giving people a heads up. I noticed that when I download 1.69 that when I tried to play NWN the regular way, it would go to the loading screen and then nothing would happen. Not sure if it was just me, but I found a solution for now I think.
Go to NWN directory and Hit on the NWN: MAIN icon which should let you get in for now.
Anyways it was probably just me but I don't want anyone else to go without a solution if they are having same problem.
P.S - Have fun seeing the loading screen of Gary Gugar or something or another When your in the server.

So, I just downloaded the CEP 2.1 for Windows, and for some reason it wouldn't install itself.
Downloaded fine, then tells me the nwncontist.exe file is corrupt. Hopefully I'll be able to manually install it all.
Was anyone able to use the CEP 2.1 installer successfully?

About the 1.69 update issue with the splash loading but nothing happens:
First, *bets you are running Vista*
Second, set nwmain.exe and nwn.exe to run in administrator mode. It will work after that. Gee, thanks Winblows for letting the user know that you blocked the program... Same thing happened to me while running Windoze. (Hint: Use Linux, it pwns)
(Yes, Linux has a few issues, but at least they aren't pure stupidity like Winsux)

Yep, that's the issue.
Though, why you didn't have to do that with 1.68 is beyond me.
This is one of the times Vista is pissing me off. I hate having to authorize running NWN every time I want to play it.

There were a few things that were corrected in the nwmain.exe in 1.69. Unfortunately, one or more of these things Vista considers "restricted." But of course, it doesn't tell you that, it just doesn't run.

Updated both on my Mac without a hitch.
I did notice, however, when I logged in to make sure they were working with the server I didn't see any load screen graphic for the Welcome Center.

The loadscreen system has changed in 1.69. Expect some strangeness with what pictures are displayed (or the lack of a picture).

So far, I've only not seen the load screens for the Welcome Center and Sign Room.
