Calan, Linux may be better, but most games run easiest on Win XP. Vista sucks, yeah, I'll give you that. But since I spent most of my times playing games, XP's easiest.. Aaanyway, no problems for me, but I downloaded the self-installer for CEP2.1. And like the others, I only didn't see a loading screen in the Welcoming Center. I didn't go to the Sign Room, though.

Same here for the loading picture on the welcome center. Don't really care, though. It's just eye-candy, and it seems to load faster, without it.

Okay so I really need some help with this. I believe that I downloaded all the right files and put them in the right place It asked if I wanted to update my NWN so I did and well not I'm having the problem where after you hit play Vista is just closing it out. I had a window come up saying that NWN closed down and that if there was a solution it would let me know. Now nothing happens. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME!

You need to run it in administrator mode. Right click on it, there's a setting in there somewhere (I don't remember exactly where off the top of my head, but I'm thinking it's under "Compatibility"). It's just a checkbox. I set both nwn.exe and nwmain.exe to run in administrator mode and it worked fine. Not sure if you need both or not, but that's what I did.
EDIT: Upon re-reading your post it seems that NWN may be crashing, not being locked out by Vista. If you try the above and it doesn't work, you may want to download the critical rebuild from Bioware's web site and try that. Otherwise, a full reinstall might be in order.

All I know is that it needs to be in your tlk folder. If it is there, I'm not sure...

If you mean the .tlk file....
There's a folder in your NeverWinter Nights folder called "tlk". You stick it in there.

I did that, I can't remember if I tried it out or not... I shall find out tommorow I guess.
Edit: I didn't work. Bah! Is it meant to place the .tlk file that's already in the folder? 'Cause this linked file has a completely different name so wouldn't replace it unless i happen to rename it or something.

That's not good.... Also does anyone get nothing happening when you try to run the CEP installer? According to task manager it's running on the background, but nothing's actually visable...
Gosh what's going on? Bioware's nearly messed up as bad as Obsidian did with the whole game of NwN2...
