Many personal belongings seem to be randomly moved around the Hufflepuff girls' dorm. Many of these items might have been stored in unlocked trunks. At first they might have appeared to be stolen, only to randomly be somewhere else in the dorm, even in another girl's trunk. This might lead to accusations of theft.
It is possible, though wouldn't happen quite as often, that a belonging might leave the dorm completely and end up in the common room, or even more rare, somewhere else in the castle.

At breakfast yesterday, many students witnessed Amber Ramsay chasing Mary Maywell out the Great Hall. Mary seemed terrified, and Amber intent on getting her.
While the motivation remains unclear, most of the rumors spin around two theories. Either Mary has hurt Angelique deeply, and Amber wanted to pay her old friend back, or Mary's been flirting with Seril... or worse.

In the meantime, Florymonde de Bellehache is going around saying her leg had been gnawed upon by some kind of giant lizard with far too many teeth. She was seen limping to the Marble Staircase after watching Amber Ramsey chase Mary Maywell through the Entrance Hall.

Rumor spreads throughout the entire wizarding community, well beyond just the walls of Hogwarts, that Hogsmeade was the scene of a bloody battle between an auror assault team and the Men in Orange.
Rumors claim that anywhere from four to over a dozen aurors were killed horribly, including horrible executions by means of multiple simultaneous castings of the torture curse.
Rumors claim that the Men in Orange were assisted by someone in dark clothing, possibly John Dranco, who may have escaped from the Ministry.
Rumors claim that the families of the Aurors killed in the incident received bouquets of black roses, signed by the Men in Orange, complete with small animated drawn images of their family member dying.
Rumors claim that the Men in Orange are planning on targeting babies next.
The Ministry has released official statements claiming that none of these events ever happened, and are pure rumor. Ministry officials also insist that John Dranco is in Ministry custody, and has been the entire time, including the night in question.
