All students are invited to the annual Halloween Ball. Catered, and with prizes for best individual costume, as well as best costume pair for a couple. Join us on Halloween night for a night of spooky games, dancing and frivolity.
// Party will start on Friday the 31st, Halloween. Events will be on Halloween night, but the hall will stay open most of the weekend and curfew will be canceled during that time.
//EDIT: Moved to Saturday rather than Friday.

// Ahhh!! Events on Halloween night? I have a feeling a lot of people will be out an about that night, which means the server will be kind of empty right? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it would be better to have the main event on a different night. Maybe Saturday night?

Yeah, hoping to RP some RL partying that day. Especially since I'll be completing another cycle around the day star that day.

No. Merry and Pippen or Sam. They are way better than Frodo.

From the pics I've seen, you look more like Pippin.
And I'm not helping you, am I?

*coughs* Please keep in mind how old your characters are when planning Halloween costumes....
(And if you need an idea - take your char's year and add 10 to it.
11 if you're really pushing & have decided that they've had their birthday during the year)

Just a reminder- Halloween ball this weekend. Official festivities will begin on Saturday evening. Dancing, spooky games, costume contest: best costume and best couple.
Be there or we'll bury you alive and dance on your grave.

// Hmmm... May be fighting post-nuclear zombies, mutants, animals, and all that jazz this weekend. I'll see if I can fit it into my schedule.

Just so people know, we will probably be spawning an appearance changer and body tailor somewhere to assist with the costumes. If you go to the DM room, -do not- pull the lever after altering your PC for the costume. Your original appearance will be remembered, and a DM or PC can cast "restor" on you to remove the costume.
Costumes will be voted on by the student body present at the event.
A couple notes on restor:
-Best to OOCly remove clothing, as lag can cause a bug that damages clothing when restor is cast. It's on my to-do to fix.
-DO NOT cast restor on people wearing costumes unless they have given OOC permission or have requested it!! People put time into these, don't destroy them needlessly.
