This goes a bit beyond kudos, so I felt the need to give it its own thread.
Calan once said in his thread about making it not about the graphics, but about the roleplay how he feels the things his characters are going through. He gave some examples of some things Kalara's been through. I always could respect that, but I never really experienced it.
Until now. Last night - something about the roleplay last night with Talia and such just shot through me. I felt it. Starting from the first scratches at the commons door. I felt Feargus' excitement, the tension as he and Sara locked the main doors. Just waiting for something, anything to try and get through.
His shock as the thing changed right in the dog's mouth, I could feel his focus as he thought of what spell to fire at the thing when it attacked. His fear as it dawned on him that things were not going well.
I could see out of his eyes as he lay on the cold tile floor, bleeding and bruised with the broken and dying dog beside him. I could feel his shortness of breath as he tried to regain some kind of control over the situation.
I could see and feel the blood he slipped in as it poured unchecked from the dog lying on the floor. His fear and anxiety as someone burst through the tapestry, only to run right into the monster. I could feel his throat constrict as he tried to shout at the person to run! to do something.
Never before have I had so vivid a roleplay. Since that point I feel connected in the way Calan described like I never have.
Thank you to everyone involved. It was powerful.

Haha. On very rare occasions. I don't know why this one got me.
