There is a rumor that Feargus MacDale -actually- cast a Gilderoy Lockhart-created spell at himself in the middle of class. Twice. He was been spotted in the Hospital Wing for a short time, waving off concern for himself and muttering about Lockhart's "incompetence."

With Emily Hodgkins having lost Hufflepuff a whooping 325 points in various incidents over the years, most Huffle students seem to have taken to glaring at her, scowling, and talking behind her back.

Rumours spread among the Hufflepuff students that Emily Hodgkins is actually being paid by Ravenclaw to lose her house points so that RC have a decent chance at the house cup. The rumoured amount she is receiving changes daily.

It has been rumored by some people that some unknown person pushed Patrick (who most people don't know by sight) down 7 flights of stairs, and that Patrick was in such a daze that he jinxed himself three times, trying to jinx someone who wasn't there.

Apparently a rather annoyed Professor Sprout was seen leaving the Hufflepuff Commons with a large assortment of spiders within cages. Rumor has it that they were taken out of the Girls dorms within the commons after an incident involving a black widow biting one of the students.

There has been a rumor circulating that Third Year Hufflepuff Brian Nemthias was seen at Mr. Filches office, attempting to talk to the grumpy old man. After a brief Dialogue Mr. Filch was said to nearly knock the young Hufflepuff out with an assortment of blows.

Rumors of Werewolves attacking students have been beginning to spread amongst the younger students after an incident involving a extremely poorly dressed Gryffindor was seen setting up "Wards against Werewolves" in front of the school.

Rumor has it that Jinx Sinclair in an attempt to cease hostilities in the Entrance Hall cast the releasio charm on another seventh year. In an even stranger turn of events the seventh year Slytherin who is usually known for ignoring the younger years appeared friendlier than normal and willing to help younger students.

It is rumored that Patrick Quigley has a katana in his trunk in Hufflepuff common room. Most likely this is based on the new article from the Daily Prophet, and since then, Patrick has never told anyone of a katana, even denying he owns one. Some say it is silvered. Some students with a reason to hurt Patrick say that he was to one who killed the two by the forest with his sword, but he has told everyone who asked his that these are not true, and that people shouldn't trust rumors.

Some students talk about a type of winged ethereal...thing attacking some students in Hogsmeade. Details are foggy but include that it was near the the Shrieking Shack and included at least 5 students from Hogwarts.
