You Will Never Know's response in the other thread was pretty much spot on. The gibberish spouted during casting is, I suspect, the game designers' attempt to simulate the abstract verbal components that are peripherally described in D&D. The game's always been pretty abstract on what the mages are actually saying while casting, but no, it's not an actual (or fictional) language. Just quasi-arcane phrases, I'm afraid.
On a related note; reading the thread title, I thought this was a cooler thread. I've been thinking of starting a thread about the casting choices when WoHP is made into a movie.
...or did I make that thread already?

I've actually listened closely to a lot of the NWN background audio. While there are some things said in english, a majority of the voices are babble. I've always found it interesting how well they did with it, as until you actually listen to it, it does sound like actual language. The kids playing outside, the whispers in the taverns, all that.

I've noticed some 'evil' voices and it's voicests. Some of them are inappropiate, others gibberish. They do speak English, but its secretly said.

I've played some games where you overhear people's conversations. Never really listened to it.
