Caitlyn was out in the gardens planting some new flowers when the sky began to cloud over. Big dark clouds loomed overhead and distant thunder could be heard. Within moments the thunderheads darkened, dumping it's contents of fresh cold rainwater upon the land. A few minutes was all it took for her to be soaked, head to toe.

"Oh well.." she thought, running towards the castle, "I'm already soaking wet, might as well go dancing in the puddles".

However she had only spent about 10 minutes jumping to puddle to puddle before the lightning forked across the sky. Then there was a big BOOM! The thunder clapped all around. Deafened a moment, Caitlyn just stood there, outside and under the castle eaves, creating puddles on the ground from her soaking wet robes.

*Feargus stands just outside the main doors of Hogwarts on the stone steps, leaning against the old, weathered stone of the wall. There is a smile on his face and he has his hands in the pockets of the blue wool coat he often wears. As the sky breaks open and begins drenching him, he looks up at the clouds. Quickly soaked, his usually unruly dirty-blonde hair gets slicked back and he blinks against the raindrops. He doesn't react to the crash of the thunder, but continues to look upward, admiring the flash of the lightning*

"Hey Mai!, aren't storms wonderful?" Cait exclaims, while dripping puddles across the grounds. "It soaks everyone of us equally, no matter who we are." She walks with Mai into the castle as another loud clap of thunder rumbles through. As she gets towards the door she smiles and waves to Feargus before walking over to him. "Hey.. you like the storm too?"

"It's lovely! I love a good summer storm."

*he takes his hands out of the pockets of his coat to hold Mai, and gives Cait a wave as he does*

"..." Nathan's mood at that precise moment could simply not put into words. He had been quietly been making Friendship Bracelets, minding his own business... until the heavens opened.
With a sigh he collected up the rest of the strings and stuffed them hastily back into a small wooden box. After he had hidden that in his robes, he sprinted to under an oak tree. The thick, inter-twining branches above him seemed to keep the rain from pouring down on him, however he quickly changed his mind when a deep rumble shook through the air and a flash of lightning illuminated the sky.

After a few seconds of running like he never ran before, Nathan was safely under a large stone arch. He sunk down against the wall, and watched a few other students run as well.

"More like being stuck in it" Caitlyn responds, smirking, and then she starts to shiver. "Oh what was that spell again?.. Oh Yea!"

Aero Feverensi! Hot air blows out of her wand like a blow dryer, she points it to herself, floofing up her hair and quickly dries herself, then points the wand at both Mai and Feargus. "Anyone else want some hot air?"

*Feargus looks up again with a grin, blinking the rain from his eyes. He looks back at the two girls and shakes his head, spraying water from his hair...not that it compares to the rain coming down*

"I'll protect you!" he says gallantly, a grin on his face, "besides, the lightning is amazing..."

Eric pushes open the doors to the Entrance hall and enters. He is wearing a soaking wet Quidditch uniform and a big grin. She slowly pushes his hand through his wet hair and smirks before hurrying off to the Gryffindor Commons.

Caitlyn smiles at the two and then watches the lightning. "Yea, I wonder where Matt is.." She says quietly to herself before she watches the lightning fork and the thunder crash all around them. "I don't mind the rain at all. I like playing in it. but the thunder and lightning.. most likely the lightning, is the most dangerous." As she says that, a huge CRRRRRRACKKK! is heard. Caitlyn lets out a scream as a tree about 100 paces away gets suddenly struck by a massive bolt of lightning, a huge bright light surrounding them for just an instant. the air is electric, and the smell of burning wood reaches their noses.

*Feargus act quickly, tightening his grip on Mai with one arm while he takes Cait's arm with the other hand. He shoves the front doors open with his shoulder and pulls the two into the castle with him, shutting the doors firmly behind him*
