A small rumor started up by a couple of first years that Dominic Trax's speech indicates him as a vampire. Of course this rumor has mostly been shot down by everyone else. Upon hearing this a second rumor started that he was killed during the "Hogsmeade Incident" and happened to be saved by a vampire biting him then clearing his airway. The moment another asked why he doesn't suffer from sunlight those little rascal devil's decided that he was a "Dead reverse-vampire re-envoked from the dead." People eventually stopped listening, but among most of the first and second years that rumor is still hushed.

There is a rumor going around that the most arrogant and stuck-up of Fundamentalist Purebloods, Arachne Pritchard, as returned from a sabbatical.

- truth: Keeferson is far too bitter to die because of one Duro spell

- rumor: Arachne Pritchard is looking to "reeducate" Keeferson and "show him his place"
- truth: hey, if that happens, get us pictures! that's straight up blackmail material...

- rumor: Keeferson, after finding out that Shacadia left him for some guy back in "the Old Country," revealed his true lycanthrope roots and had to be stunned into submission by Professor Snape and is now on his way to the "Werewolf Sanctuary" the Ministry set up
- truth: you've got to be kidding me. Snape using a STUN spell on a werewolf? what are you doing, smoking crack?!?

- rumor: Keeferson's gotten into the "inner sanctums" of a least three Ravenclaw students, four Gryffindors, and six Slytherins... and no Hufflepuffs
- truth: uhm... people have seen Keeferson in class. if he had been THAT busy, either he would be a little... fast, or he would have been limping. that, and there'd be a few angry boyfriends looking for him.

- rumor: Seril Kane had his life threatened by Keeferson during one of his freakouts.
- truth: Keeferson needs to freak out in order to threaten Seril Kane's life? man, that's not even news any more...

Whichever it is, those students who know Kyli's spellcasting fury are grateful somebody is keeping her under control.

A rumor is spinning among a few students - Gryffindors in particular - that the Head Girl badge may have gone to Miss Maywell's head. While she does insufferably often refer to herself by the title, some also suggest that she seems liable to abuse her privileges. Accounts range from insisting they heard "some prefect" (never named specifically) mention that the new night shift schedules are very favorable to her, to concerns that she keeps letting Ravenclaws off the hook systematically.

Mary herself seems oblivious to - or ignoring - these rumors.

Rumours would be spread like rapid fire around the school, closely following the Boggart Class, that Tyson Swift's greatest fear is seeing Sierra Tillery's untimely death. The two have been seen together, usually laughing about some joke. However after the class Tyson, it appears, was trying to avoid Miss Tillery for several days.


Several days later, it appears that the two are friends again. And that it may have been just a misunderstanding. Though some of the older Slytherin girls still try to get a rise out of him by imitating her death.

There is a rumor going around that Amy Valerine was last sign running up towards her common room, probably crying, with a letter in hand. She hasn't come out at all even to eat so far. Could this have anything to do with her relationship with Kristyn Star? According to the other Gryffindors, she's been keeping to herself and not talking to anyone.

There is a small rumor going around, spread mainly by the more paranoid and cynical students, that the Crimson and Geist show is nothing more than a Ministry shill to encourage the students of Hogwarts to mindlessly obey Ministry Rules.

After all, only the Ministry could possibly afford to send wireless sets to every student in Hogwarts, even if they happened to be one of the more inexpensive models, that's still quite a lot of wireless sets, considering the student population. ((NPC's and PC's in total.))

A darker subrumor suggests that anybody who writes into the Ministry, as suggested by Crimson, would be quickly carried away by Aurors to who-knows-where for even suggesting the Ministry could be -gasp- wrong.

A rumor races about the school that Keeferson was KISSED awake. Yes the whole Sleeping Beauty treatment.
