Yes, you're right with that idea - Students look up to older students. I agree with that, and I suspect no one would have a problem with that.

But, majority of people in society stay within their 'groups'. Mostly of their own type, own age. And, I'd suspect that might factor into this.

But, who knows?!

Being that I <3 every person who is joining this group and have read through the topic I very much like this idea. Of course, I was thinking of making a Gryffindor Dueling-loving male named William Bowes (Who has glasses!) Which would probably lead to a few problems in the future with dueling... Comedic in a way, I suppose. He will also have a dueling card hobby. MASTAH OF DAH CARDS ftw.

My character is going to be a muggleborn now, with quite a fun bit about him (and his sister) which I will be leaving FOIG for you players.

Names are Trent Andras Hughes and Gwendolyn Linette Hughes... of course I just noticed when putting them up on the first post that Andrew's characters middle name is Trent. But I think I'm going to leave that little crossover anyway, as people -can- have similar names... as much as well try our best to be original.

We are going to leave their sorting up to the GMs (I think), though to be honest I'm quite sure they'll be Hufflepuff.

Now, besides all of that character stuff, we still have to work on what we all actually want to do for this! Start date, etc... XD Also, I was thinking it would be nice to have at least one of each class GM'd per IG year. I don't want to put strain on CnE or have them neglecting anyone else, so any input from you guys? I'm just throwing out suggestions.

I think end of August or first two weeks of September would be a great time to start this. We just need to make sure everyone who is actually doing it is ready.

That's when I'll be starting up school, so it may prove difficult during the daytime. But I should be on in the afternoon and night.

Caitlyn, Matt, and any other existing characters would be more than welcome on the Hogwart's Express with the new group, as that would add a lot to the realism of the experience! I'd think we'd spend a decent amount of time on the train, not just a few minutes, seeing as how in the books it took several hours to get from Kings Cross to Hogsmeade. Also, rp'ing some version of a Start of Term Feast would be good after the Sorting Ceremony, and any existing characters should absolutely hang around and welcome the new Firsties into the fold!

Actually, I was just thinking, wasn't the start of term feast AND the sorting mandatory to be at? Like Professors docked points and gave detentions to those who weren't there. So, I'm thinking that it should be an almost server-wide event, making it mandatory for PCs and Professors to be there.
