My timezone is GMT -5 right now, adjusted for DST. Also, I like the ideas listed above about having shopping for two days, and the train ride and dinner on sunday.

Okay... we all still need to actually -agree- on a day to start this. Meaning the train ride and the sorting feast. Shifty, do you think you could give us a few dates you'd be prepared to do this and we can work on it from there? That seems like the best option to me...

I'm really against anything before the first week in September. I, and many other players, don't know how busy RL will be, and it is best we get a first glance at it.

I am extremely flexible. Most others are not, so I'd recommend you guys decide what works best for you. If its between like, 8pm and 5am EST, just about any night of the week is excellent for me. During the day on the weekends would require a -bit- of coordination, but if you know in advance that you'd rather that, I can sort things out.

Actually that doesn't so much work out for me. >_>

School starts sooooooon and I'll be gone from EST 5 AM until 3 PM. So, yeah, eight hours cut out of me being able to be there, starting like August 28th.

Ah, how did I miss this. I did not see this until today.

Is it too late to join? I read the whole thread and I would love to take part into this.

Sign me up as Alex Alorian. And I would like a random sorting on my character, so I am not going to make a bio or anything till I get sorted so I can decide what I want his personality to be!

Uhh. . . I know what you're saying, but the sorting doesn't determine the personality, it's the other way around. ;)

Correct, Chelsea, but if he wants to leave the characters personality up to random chance there's no issue there. :P

What a risk taker! :D

*Hopes he's sorted into Spark-- I mean, Gryffindor!*

Well I want random sorting and I understand the the house you go to is determined by your personality. Therefore I will have to shape my personality depending on the house I join.

I think that's awesome, Rolan. I'm leaning towards the same thing. My one concern is whichever DM is running the sorting feeling like he has to meet a "quota" for a certain house and sorting people that way. If we've decided on three houses and most of the personalities would NOT fit into Slytherin, than that leaves those of us who have not predetermined our characters personalities to any great extent with an increased chance of being put in Slytherin. Or whichever house is lacking in numbers. But I really like the idea of a random sorting, so yeah, I'm looking forward to it! :-)
