Technically, you might be chaotic evil madeline. It really doesn't take much to upset the balance of alignment. It's been awhile since I took the test personally.

Bah, DnD alignments are a contrived and poorly designed way to think of morality. I'm a huge pnp player and I've always hated it. No bearing on real life.

Neutral

A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn’t feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutrality is a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil. After all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, she’s not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. The common phrase for neutral is "true neutral." Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion.

Gotta agree with Shifty. Take my character for example-

She's very on the chaotic side, but very on the lawful side.

She's very on the good side, and she's very on the evil side.

What's my character's RP'd alignment? Kudos to who can figure it out, because I can't...

For everything else there's Chaotic Neutral, the alignment for characters who pretty much do what they feel like at the time. I'm a big fan of that one.

I got Chaotic Good and was sorted into Gryfferclaw, at that, though.

So, yeah I suppose people are right about me -

Chaotic Good + Lawful Evil = Neutral.

Keep in mind though that alignment doesn't work like:

LG<--------NG---------CG----------LN----------TN----------CN-----------LE--------NE---------> CE

It works more like:

It's more intent wise than how good or evil you are...For example someone who is Lawful Good is not any better than someone who's Chaotic Good, or just because someone is Lawful Evil doesn't mean they're not as evil as someone who is chaotic evil.

Think of every alignment as an extremist view and you'll understand where I am coming from at this. If you were a Lawful Extremist or a Chaotic Extremist, Good/Evil...what would you do? What is the worst things you can possibly do...

A lawful Evil person thinks outside the box most of the time - He rather do things clean, but doesn't mean he's not evil...He may pay people to do his dirty work for him. If he was a slave trader, than he would hire people to kidnap slaves, and sell them instead, but a Chaotic Evil man would say, "come with me or die." He may butcher everyone in his path who thinks is not going to come easily. A lawful evil person though, would want to make money, and they would just knock them out.

As for Good:

A lawful good man would run in and free all the slaves, knowing what is going on and think of a proper punishment for the crime, while as a chaotic good man may run in their and free all the slaves, and kill all the bandits on spot.

It's all a preference really...

What we see as good and evil, is all different...A chaotic evil person will not get along with a lawful good person...Seeing a chaotic evil person would think that a lawful good person is going to get in the way of him doing things his way - Chaotic people absolutely despise law, simply because it's demanding them act proper to someone's standards, other than their own (Yeah, being of the chaotic neutral alignment I know what I'm talking about). However, a lawful good person may say that "They come upon us, and ask to be treated fair, but they won't even follow the standards and rules that hold us together."

Lawful Neutral basically hates any form of chaos whether "Good/Neutral/Evil" They believe that any chaos is unjustified, and savagery. Chaotic Neutral; we don't intentionally try and cause problems, but basically just being there is a problem waiting to happen. Just because the fact we dislike being told no...but we at least try to fit in and cooperate. A lot of mixed feelings, of right and wrong... I have gone off into good/evil...and thing is no one is ever perfect, that's what sets off alignment the most.

The Neutrals:

Good: Helps anyone, because he believes that whatever is happening or going on, people are people, and no one people deserve to be treated unfairly; Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Neutral: Neutral you basically do what you feel is needed for the now situation. There is a criminal, and he just killed 10 children, well - you think, "Prison? Death Sentence" but usually you go with who has the best argument. Could relate to how he did it, accidental/intentional. Weapons used, ect, and not to mention "Intention." Did he mean to kill them, or perhaps he had another target.

True: A Belief that emotion is stale, this is Alexia. To be true neutral means to basically set all side of emotion, and it's very rare to be "True."

Evil: Neutral Evil you basically want something self beneficially and don't want anyone to interfere, I use the reference: Bank robber, or common criminal. "He tried to stop me, I shot him. I had no intention of harming him, but he wanted to stop me." Alexia's alternative personality.

What is Alexia than? True Neutral + Neutral Evil = ????/??????? - ????/???????

but that's just my interpretation of the alignments...They could be wrong, but it's from all my time seeing RP, and reading the guides, it's just what I pulled out from it all...

Be careful, SunRein, you're getting awfully close to being inducted into the LiteralNET ;). [this is a joke, by the way]

The Supreme Specifier of the LiteralNET wrote:
Welcome to the LiteralNET. We represent the overwhelming majority of the able users of the Internet (hereafter to be shortened to the more convenient "AbUsers") who promote the following qualities. We lack, utterly, completely, and perpetually, a sense of humor. We refuse to accept or appreciate connotations, inferations, or salutations. We respect the right of all words to have one unequivocal and clearly-stated meaning -- all other "possible meanings" are null and void, as much as such ethereal and superstitious concepts can be.

We are the LiteralNET. We do not decipher, we do not infer, and, above all, we never, ever laugh. Welcome to the evolution.
