I wasn't quite sure if this was where it should go. Its not a mod issue and its not a mod suggestion its just a question about Alastor.
I've always wondered if the Mad Eye Moody IG that teaches us is the real Alastor Moody or the impostor Barty Crouch. I guess either way it doesn't really matter, and there is no way you could find out IG (or even want to open that can of worms) but I've just always wanted to know, you know?

That has been a question that has floated in my noggin on a couple occasions but I've simply left it as the real Moody. Considering it makes little sense for Barty Crouch Jr. to be infiltrating the school and for so long.
Though I wonder why we have so many DADA professors at times. Though I just ignore that thought since well there is no order to events on this server. It is 99% chaos.
Also, what of Quirrel? I would like to see more DADA classes being taught with him. Just to shake things up instead of the constant dried up mishaps of Lockhart and moody Moody.

The assumption I've always operated under is, since Harry Potter never existed and Voldy never came back, Crouch would never have escaped Azkaban. Even if he had, he would have had no reason to impersonate anyone.

Ya but, umm, why did Voldy leave then? <.< He was ruling the wizarding world pretty well... until one bright sunny day of July the 31st, in 1980, Voldy had enough and decided to go on vacation to la la wizzy land?

He got fed up with all the emo drama and packed his bags. Poor little guy.
Actually, I've been kind of figuring he ran into HP and such, but HP either didn't make it or he didn't come to Hogwarts, etc., and Voldy is still floating around in Albania. We leave it vague on purpose.

Voldemort got eaten by a shark. I've always gone with this for the DADA: They either teach differing years, or Moody + Lupin teach 3-5+, and Quirrel + Lockhart can teach the low years

Actually Voldemort walked into a room at the Leaky Cauldren to see Seril's Mom and Hagrid making what we know today as Seril Kane. Then the strangest thing happened, Voldemort vomitted everywhere and ran away crying out, "UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN... and proceeded to attempt to claw out his eyes." After that he wound up in Mungo's he had become emotionally scarred, but ultimately ten years later he was released then decided to go get a gender change operation and drank several deaging potions, she is now know as Necrolissica Crest. Any questions?
