so um.. last week i enrolled in a normal high school. i was studying via correspondence for the past 3yrs but getting no where and just had to keep repeating the yr. so yeah.... its been 5yrs since attending a proper school. and ive been so nervous and freaked out i mean im the oldest student and everyone in my year is like 14-16. its actually pretty scary. im really hoping to do well, but im just not use to it anymore. so much so i missed school yesterday cause i forgot i actually go to school now... some kind words of reassurance or suggestions on how to make it easier to fit in would be appreciated.

Do what I did: find a group with similar interests as yours. Do you like to perform music? Find kids that like music too.

Keep the big picture in mind. Think of how many more opportunities you'll have once you graduate! Don't think too much about the day to day, just focus on the end goal of getting a diploma. A little embarrassment for a short amount of time is totally worth it in the end. Besides, you shouldn't be embarrassed, even though I know it's got to be an awkward situation. Don't let the other kids get to you. This isn't about them, this is about YOU. And you achieving a goal, doing it for you. I've seen elderly people go back to high school and college! Just have a "So what" attitude towards anyone who makes fun... all it does is show their immaturity if they do make jokes. Best of luck!

Don't be embarrassed, humor is good! Laugh about things rather than being angry about a tease or jest.
Remember that children or teens often lash out due to some insecurity or they are trying to draw attention from themselves.

I think they're re-routing squibs from Hogwarts to Beauxbatons. Have fun in France!
