Rumors spread about the curfew escapades of Joshua Tannerman last night. Sightings of him were reported in both Slytherin - where he apparently stopped to use the loo, and also may have stolen a priceless magical artifact - and Ravenclaw houses. Some students claim that he was chased out of the latter house, naked except for his boxers and a towel, leaving his clothes down in the pool. Rumor has it that he also visited Hufflepuff, but somehow managed to escape detection. Those who know the boy scoff at this rumor.

Rumors fly that Professor Pyke Grenfell is AWOL. This seems to be confirmed when students learn that Ancient Runes classes have been canceled for Monday and possibly longer. When asked, Professor Dumbledore would say that Grenfell has had to take a temporary leave due to a family emergency, and it is not known whether he or Professor Babbling will return first.

The latest hot piece of news is that Tom Summers nearly lost his head, and most of his hair, in a heated demonstration gone wrong. Some blame an over-eager spell and a brainless spellcaster. Others pin it on a stress so strong, rumor has it, that it forced him into an early onset of mid-life crisis to the point where he lost his hair and had tanned too much, leaving him with a skin redder than a tomato.

Rumor has it that Sapphire Bain shoved Veric Ster, a seventh year, to the ground after the older boy threatened her boyfriend.

Rumor has it that Veric got owned by Roselyn Synders. And she was protecting her Lion cubs and maternal instinct happened.

The latest rumor concerning the Hufflepuff student Emily Jade Hodgkins is that she was seen early this evening packing all of her belongings into her trunk and collecting her owl Puff from the owlrey before walking calmly without a word from the school towards Hogsmeade, rumors might suggest a fight with somebody, although nobody seems to know who. Rumors that the Hufflepuff was later seen in the village of Hogsmeade are reported but not confirmed.

Rumors fly about Karen's appearance in the entrance hall earlier today. According to many students, she stomped through, bruised, singed and soaking wet, and proceeded to deliver a furiously profane rant. Accounts vary on whether Confringo, Zane Von Mecklenburg, zombies, or some combination of all three were responsible for her condition. Some of the more fashion-observant students lament that her black boots will never be the same.

Rumor has it that Joshua Tannerman received a howler from his mum. Could he be to blame for Gryffindor's recent 40-point loss? Some students say that he's gone hiding in the woods because he's afraid his mother will pay a visit to the school in person.

Rumor has it that Sierra Tillery, Emily Hodgkins and Tomar Webber made an enormous slip and slide in the entrance hall, around lunch time, Professor McGonagalls voice sounded through the halls informing the trio that they had earned detention in the Greenhouses, Emily promptly replied, her voice echoing through the halls "Which Greenhouse, Professor? Also, Miss Tillery would like to know if you're a fan of hard rock!" Students are amazed that Hodgkins is still a student at Hogwarts after her cheekiness towards the deputy head, it would be common knowledge that she lost her house ten points for it.

It also goes around that Emily tried to use the speaker system again later that day, people say Professor McGonagall cursed the Hufflepuff so that when Emily cast it, her throat would close up leaving her unable to breathe. Hysterical younger years were seen panicing shortly after dinner, running around and telling the school that Emily had died after failing to cast Sonorus properly.
