Reminder: the diving event for the hogwarts olympics will be held in the olympic pool in the chess room Wednesday. Competitors will be checked in promptly at 3 pm EST/12 pm server time, approximately 15 hours from the time of this post. If you intend to compete, however, attempt to arrive 15 minutes early, as late competitors will not be accepted! Olympic swimsuits are required, and may be picked up on the second floor or at the event site. Remember also that magical enhancements(including items, potions and spell effects, among other things) are forbidden in this competition.

Diving update: Server currently appears to be down, so I can't set up the event. I've attempted to contact Calan, but it's still early for him. If it comes up in the next 30 minutes, diving will take place as scheduled at 3 PM; any later, and people won't have time to notice it's up and log in for the event. Watch this space. Otherwise, it will be held at 9 PM EST/6 PM server time, 7 hours from now.
Server is up(apparently had been up, just had me on ignore), and diving is on.

Reminder: the relay event for the hogwarts olympics will be held outdoors on the track around the Quidditch pitch today. Competitors will be checked in promptly at 7 pm EST/4 pm server time, about 6.5 hours from the time of this post. If you intend to compete, however, attempt to arrive 15 minutes early, as late competitors will not be accepted! This is a team event, and teams will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis, so arrive as early as possible to guarantee a spot. Olympic uniforms are required, and may be picked up on the second floor or at the event site. Remember also that magical enhancements(including items, potions and spell effects, among other things) are forbidden in this competition.

Reminder: the closing ceremony for the hogwarts olympics will be held in the entrance hall tonight. Students should assemble in the entrance hall at 7 pm EST/3 pm server time, approximately 6 hours from the time of this post. Uniforms are not required.

Be at Platform 9 3/4 for a special back to school event on September 2rd at 10pm EST! (Come early if you'd like, that's just when the event will start). We plan on finishing just shy of midnight. --- And don't worry. You won't be on the train ~the whole~ time.

There will be a Care of Magical Creatures class tomorrow Saturday 9/8 at 11:00 pm EST/8 pm server time. Class robes are required. Class will meet by the entrance to the forbidden forest, near the graveyard.
Care of Magical Creatures is usually reserved for characters years 3 and up, but if you don't have any of that age you may attend on a 1st or 2nd year. RP that they are "trying out" the class or whatever floats your boat.

There will be a history of magic class this wednesday 9/19 at 10 pm EST/7 pm server time. Robes are required, and students are reminded that the history of magic classroom is on the 6th floor. Pirate day events will continue for some time after the class is over. I'm going to request that all spellcasting(nwn and wand) taking place during the class and following DMed events be emoted prior to casting.

 Dueling lessons will take place on October 7th at 3 pm EST/12 noon server time. Late arrivals will be just that...late. The work is geared towards students in first and second year. The dueling chamber is on the ground floor corridor. Robes are not required, but clothing and footwear should be suitable for the physical activity required by dueling.

(( Laptop won't boot now(seems to be boot sector corruption, but could be the RAM), so class is 100% cancelled. I'm on my mom's PC, but it doesn't have NWN on it, nor can I use it all afternoon to run a class. We'll just have to reschedule. I'm sorry, I really cuoldn't have predicted that both of my computers would die in two days. :\ ))

There will be an Arithmancy class tomorrow Friday 10/19 at 10:30 PM EST/7:30 PM server time. Arithmancy is a 3rd year class, but if you only have characters younger than that they may attend - RP that they're "trying out" the class as a guest to see if they want to sign up for it, or something else that fits. Class robes are required, and students are reminded that the Arithmancy classroom is on the second floor in that weird circle area where there were all those trees that one time. You know the one.
