On the YouTube page, click Share, then Embed in the new menu. Make sure you tag the 'Use old embed code'. The part you need is the stuff in quotations after value=. Just add dimensions as suggested at the bottom of the embed page on YouTube.

So if I understand it correctly there's no way to just get the bottom bar to embed by itself anymore? I know lots of people's bios still have those for audio-only, but I was trying to get one in my RP post for sam and it wouldn't work until I made it big enough to see the crappy video.

Something akin to this seems to be the best you can get. May want to increase the height a little. I am, however, by no means any good at this. Someone else may be able to know better how to work this.
