If, when you're trying to access the server list and you're getting the "Connection failed, try another Nick" error, a rather rough fix is to make an addition to your hosts file (located default in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc). Open it with Notepad or something similar and add the following line at the very bottom:

0.0.0.0 peerchat.gamespy.com

I'm not sure, but you may need these two lines as well:

0.0.0.0 nwmaster.bioware.com
0.0.0.0 nwn.master.gamespy.com

This doesn't exactly "fix" the problem, but it will cause the error to appear immediately rather than having to wait 30 seconds or however long it takes.

Hopefully someone has a better fix. Note: I'm getting this error even when using NWNCX.

That fixes the prior ten second delay as well.

A more lazy way to do it, at least the way I get passed it... Is by turning the wifi off while I'm going into the game. Once I can get to DC, I turn the wifi back on, DC, and I'm able to get in, no problem.

I get that message literally every time I log in. And I always hit cancel and it works every time. I dunno what's up with that, but I'm soooo not complaining either.

It's not the message that bothers me, it's the 30-second timeout where you just sit and wait, and NWN acts as though it's crashed.
