All students who have encountered "Smiley the Mushroom" receive a letter left on their bed one evening as follows:  Since rumors of this level travel fast, most students who have not encountered Smiley can be assumed to have heard about the letter from those who have. Perhaps not coincidentally... Professors Flitwick and Hagrid have decided to hold a short emergency meeting Sunday afternoon directly before Smiley's instruction. Students are invited to attend, and instructed not to follow the letter's instructions unless they do. Students are also requested to report "monster" or unusual animal appearances, and not to attempt to combat them. They will only appear within the castle walls, and usually not in a tower. The meeting will take place in the Charms classroom. This event will be held at 8:00 server time (11 EST) on Sunday October 11, with possible preliminary action such as professor meeting starting a bit earlier (7:30) if I can make it at that time. Though the professor meeting is ICly required, OOC it is not.

There will be a school trip to the Muggle Zoo in London this Saturday. Students of Muggle Studies are encouraged to attend, but the trip is open to anyone who wishes to come.
Muggle clothing must be worn; no robes are permitted. If you do not possess Muggle clothing or are uncertain of what would be appropriate then please let me know in advance so something can be arranged for you. Wands are allowed to be taken but are only to be used in an emergency. I cannot stress this enough. A forced visit from the Obliviators is the very last thing we need and any student caught using magic in front of Muggles will be severely disciplined.
If there are any questions or concerns then please direct them to me.

There will be a joint Herbology and DADA class tomorrow, Thursday 10/22, at 8 pm server time. Students from both sections have been instructed to meet in the gardens, and to make sure that they wear practical shoes that they can move around in quickly if necessary. More details may be announced IG before the class begins, so log in early.
Class has been postponed. I will still be doing something tomorrow, however.
Nevermind, class is back on.
(I'm sorry I keep doing this, I have anxiety issues and I get anxious when running a joint class and it doesn't pull together until the last possible minute(I am literally walking out the door to work in a few, and then I won't be back until almost go time), and tend to pull the plug at the point when it seems hopeless. I am not a last minute planner, you guys!!! x_x )
