This is meant to be like 'Wilde Child' where you can post anything relating to Matty McGowin, whether you are a friend, enemy, aquaintence, or just have seen him around. Post away.
Matty struggles to make his way across the seemingly endless lawn of the Hogwarts Grounds. He breathes heavily as he pauses to attempt and resituate his stacks of books, clothing, and other wizarding items. He then looks to the castle, the full moon shining like a beacon behind Hogwarts.
Deciding to drag his large duffle bag by the strap, he continues to make his way towards the wonderfully illuminated castle, a large stack of books stacked precariously on top of the bag.
He finally reaches the top of the stone steps leading into the castle and gives a whiny groan as he stares up at the enormous oaken doors that stand before him. With a grunt, a push, and a drag, he overcomes the large wooden doors and enters the castle. Not attempting to be quiet, he drags and grunts his way through the Entrance Hall and up the stairs to the Great Hall. On the final step however, he steps on the front of his robe, stumbles, and loses his grip on his gargantuan duffle bag.
Time seemed to slow to a crawl as the bag tumbled down the stairs, spewing its contents on the steps and covering the floor below. With a shriek and a small moan of despair, Matty looks around quickly before scrambling to try to retrieve all of his belongings before anyone emerges to see his things skewed about.
He looks around slowly and stuffs the last pair of socks into the duffle bag with a sigh of relief. No one had come to see what the noise was. He started up the stairs again and was careful not to trip over his robe. Setting his foot securely on the top step, Matty hoists his titanic pack up with him.
He looks over the large wood doors, leading into the Great Hall with another disheartened sigh. He pushes against the doors, enters the Hall, and makes his way towards the Sorting Hat with a scarlet face.

“SLYTHERIN” bellows the old, worn hat.
Matty looks around the great hall with his dark green eyes and watches as the Slytherin students clap appropriately, welcoming him over to the table. His sits next to an oddly shaped boy and a taller, skinnier girl, squeezing himself in between them with several small grunts. He fills his plate with more food than he can eat and then, after the sorting ceremony, makes his way to the Slytherin commons.
Once in the dimly lit dungeon, Matty gets an uneasy feeling and begins to think Slytherin wasn’t the house for him. He examines each colorfully lit torch with a timid interest as he makes his way down the winding tunnels of the dungeon.
He continues down the maze of hallways until he reaches the dead end where the Common Room is supposed to be. He then takes a finger to his mouth and begins to chew on the nail curiously. Tilting his head and looking either way down the empty hall he thinks quietly to himself.
It’s just then when a tall 4th year emerges from the wall, exiting from the common room. Suddenly filled with excitement at finding the right wall, he bounds in after the 4th year. In his excited trance he fails to look where he is going and hits, the now solid wall, with a crunching thud.
Taken aback, Matty gives a small whimper and examines the restored wall. Rubbing his nose, he wipes a straw tear away and reaches for the directions he was given by the house Teacher Snape. Rereading it carefully he finds the password near the bottom of the page, the section he failed to read in his state of heightened excitement.
Smiling to himself he nods several times and speaks the password. The door appears from the wall of the dungeon and he walks over the threshold, still rubbing his sore nose.
Weary from the late hour, he makes his way to the fireplace and sprawls out on a nearby sofa, fully clothed, and fast asleep.
