Yes, thank you, Tomar. The other Quidditch thread was for HPNWN, and I've moved it to the HPNWN Archive section.
There's no need for Junior Quidditch now, because we have plenty of senior students. Tomar is still the current Captain for Gryffindors, Evie for Hufflepuff. I'm not sure who we have for Ravenclaw and Slytherin, though--I believe From of Ravenclaw is going to be scarce for a while, and I'm not sure if Priggo of Slytherin is still interested in captaining. Volunteers? Talk to your Heads of House. Want to play? Talk to your House Team Captains.

I'm still interested in Captaining quidditch, I just didn't know it was still going on.

I found something that few people might not be aware of.
Keepers aren't allowed to score with the quaffle. And chasers aren't allowed to pass the quaffle to keepers. The only time keepers are supposed to take the quaffle is to defend their hoops, steal from an opposing player, and pass to a chaser.

Check out rules 6 and 7, to get my point.

Quote: Bumphing - Beaters - Hitting a Bludger into the crowd, with the intent of causing the game to be halted as officials attempt to protect onlookers. This is usually done in an attempt to prevent a goal being scored.
[[ Only if we were able to do that. *Sighs* ]]

Hang on a second dont the books sorta disagree, in order of the pheonix when ron kicks the quaffle and gets it in the other goal hoops they say that a pro quidditch player did that, or dont they say that it was allowed?

Well do they count the goal for points?
Honestly, I don't remember.
I don't mind if it's allowed or not, I just wanted it to be cleared up so everyone knows whether their keeper can try and score or not. I don't think it would be allowed, since that would pretty much turn a keeper into a chaser, but who knows.
Nik, any rulings?

Well.. speaking as a 'captain' I wouldn't let my keeper leave the goal area anyways. XD

Well the sad thing is our Quidditch has never really been close enough to the real thing to even come close to getting caught up on the finer points of the rules.
It'd be great just to have a season kicked off and running for once.

Gryffindor is ready, as always, and is just waiting on the other houses.
