Full name: Michael Todeslachen
House: Ravenclaw (Though he has moments of doubt)
Blood: Half-blood. Muggle father, witch mother.
Birthplace: Pittsburgh, PA. United States
Current Residence: Hogwarts until graduation due to special arrangements.
Favorite Food: Enjoys most seafood and citrus fruit.
Favored School Subject: Defense Against the Dark Arts
Least Favored Subject: Astronomy, mostly because he has trouble finding the classroom.
Favorite colors: Black, purple, silver, blue
Favorite activities: Collecting obscure facts, playing chess, slipping off into the Forbidden Forest, and dreaming up pranks he'll most likely never pull.
Appearance: Michael is a tall, well-built student who always looks a little older than he should be. He manages to routinely pull off the marriage of well-groomed and disheveled thanks in part to his well-kept uniform and chronically messy hair. Always laughing or smiling about something, this combined with Michael's appearance makes him seem rather easy-going and charming in a playful way.
Personality: Mr. Todeslachen is, on the surface, a charming, polite student whose intellect and studious nature have earned him a place in Ravenclaw house. Beneath the surface, however, a storm of insecurities and emotional turbulence threatens to consume him from within. This, incidentally, led to his sorting taking the better part of twenty minutes due to the discord within his mind and character. Something that still chips away at him when he's alone and is forced to deal with his thoughts. The odd emotional outburst bordering on psychotic anger when one of his 'hot buttons' are triggered doesn't help him at all. As a result, he tries to drown it out with good humor and some rather foolish risks.
All in all, not a bad student, he works hard to make sure that his personal flaws don't trouble the other students (even if they do bleed through the surface on occasion...)
Personal history: The son of a muggle father and a self-hating witch mother, it was a large miracle Michael even learned about magic at all. His mother making every attempt to deny her own abilities and his father enforcing this as needed, he grew up in a very anti-magical environment. This enforcement crossing the border well into abuse at many points in his life.
After his magic showed itself, it was only a matter of time until the letter for the Salem Institute of Witchcraft arrived. His mother was adamantly against him going, and indeed he wouldn't have went if his father hadn't uttered those fateful words to his mother upon seeing the letter: Get it out of here and don't ever let it come back.
It was only through the understanding of the Salem Institute's headmaster that he managed to go at all, having his tuition paid by the kind wizard. After a year of study, proving to be an apt pupil, he was recommended to Hogwarts by several of his professors and the headmaster himself. Going to Hogwarts would be the equivalent of being sent to pursue college preparatory courses in the muggle education system.
Edit: An image of Michael will be provided when I can find a good one for him
Sorry I'm such a long-winded schmuck! ^_^
